If You Wish To Be Civil #3 - MILFs Just Keep Getting Younger
Yo. Lemme be real for a bit. And even if you don’t, I’m going to anyway.
This bitch looks like she’s fucking 15 years old - and probably is one of those girls who would say “15 years young”. The latter is just a pet peeve of mine.
Can we PLEASE stop glorifying mothers under the age of 18? Even then, 18 is still really young. But young mothers keep getting younger, and the fact that we put them on a pedestal doesn’t help the fact that they’re being desensitized into thinking that it’s okay to get pregnant when they’re still living in their parent’s house.
Now, I’m going to go ahead and say I know a few young mothers, and though they don’t regret their decision in keeping the child (and I don’t blame them), I know they’ve continually said they disagree with how many girls (emphasis on that noun right there; girls, not women, not young women, but GIRLS) are getting pregnant at such young ages.
It’s not healthy, it’s not admirable, it’s not heroic, it’s nothing to hoot and holler about. They aren’t mature enough to handle a child, they aren’t financially independent most of the time, the biological father of the child likely will not stay with or support the mother, and chances are high that the mother’s life will be significantly harder because of the child they decide to keep.
Hey now. It’s great you decide to keep the baby. Sure. I can respect you a little in that you’re making a very big decision.
Wait, you’re 15? You’re not even out of high school andyou want to have a fucking child? That’s not ballsy. That’s stupid. You don’t have the money to support yourself.
Look. I’m not saying teen moms are bad people, and I’m not saying people should shun them. People should do what they can to help the mother and the child, cuz they need all the help they can get. However, what society should not be doing (and is doing) is making the teenage mother lifestyle something to look forward to or aspire towards. It’s an unnecessary risk and it’s certainly not something that even current teen mothers would experience again - at least, not right now.
This isn’t a post saying about who’s fault it is, or to slut shame, or anything. I’m just saying, teen pregnancy is on the rise, for all the wrong reasons.
TL;DR: Stop making pictures like this, support CURRENT teen mothers, advise FUTURE teen mothers to reconsider keeping the child, and if you are capable of impregnating females,

JC Penney’s new ad for Father’s Day
The text reads:
“First Pals: What makes Dad so cool? He’s the swim coach, tent maker, best friend, bike fixer and hug giver—all rolled into one. Or two.” The text at the bottom reads: “Real-life dads, Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their children Claire and Mason.”

this gives me hope.
